It is amazing to me how fast the summer has passed. August is already here. Soon it will be ‘pumpkin spice’ everything! It has been so very hot, I won’t really mind because I know cooler temps are on the way. Covid 19 has changed us all this year. I don’t think we will ever be the same. Now we hear that a dog has died from Covid. It has changed the way we rescue. It has changed how our supporters are able to donate. It has changed the way are animals are seen at the vet. We have put off well dog visits and vaccines.  Two days ago, we found out that Facebook was short of help and rather than contact me for the info they needed they decided to refund one of our birthday fundraisers in the spring. It may even be worse than that. We haven’t received payment for two of the birthday fundraisers so it may be a huge loss that will take a long time to recover from. It also casts a shadow of doubt on the legitimacy of our rescue. I want to assure you that we are a legitimate, 501c3. non-profit, charity. We go to great lengths to provide the proper info and fill out all the state and federal requirements each year to keep it that way.
